Cuneo, 20 February 2024 - Lurisia, the historic Piedmontese brand that became part of the Coca-Cola family in 2019 and has been exported to about 30 countries around the world to date, announces an agreement with Italia Zuccheri - Coprob to cover 100% of the sugar needs necessary for the production of its premium drinks, such as chinotti, soda, tonic waters, orange soda and lemonade. The only short supply chain of Italian sugar, Italia Zuccheri – Coprob represents a cooperative of 7,000 farms (of which 4,000 are associated with the cooperative) present on the national territory, which manage the supply of the raw material from certified sustainable agriculture and short supply chain.
"The enhancement of the treasures of our territory, the praise of Italian excellence and the creation of original and authentic drinks are values of fundamental importance for Lurisia to guarantee the quality of the products that we offer to customers and consumers every day," says the company. "We are proud of the agreement with Italia Zuccheri, which allows us to work in synergy with a partner with whom over time we intend to strengthen support for a strategic supply chain for Made in Italy, such as the sugar sector."
«Italia Zuccheri and Lurisia share the same values: qualitative excellence, support for Made in Italy, attention to local agricultural supply chains and environmental sustainability. We are proud to work in close synergy to transfer these values to the end customer," comments Italia Zuccheri – Coprob.
"This is a story of collaboration between two companies that believe in the same project to enhance the Italian spirit and together are committed to building a path of authentic, credible and responsible communication."
The collaboration between Lurisia and Italia Zuccheri - Coprob is a collaboration that fits well into the brand's strategy of using Italian ingredients typical of the territory, making the brand, in its more than 80 years of history, one of the excellences of the beverage industry at a national level. The products in the Lurisia portfolio are inspired by authentic local recipes and contain the best local citrus fruits: the Chinotto and the Lurisia Tonic Water are in fact prepared with chinottos from the Slow Food Presidium of Savona; Gazzosa Lurisia is produced with the bulk lemon of Amalfi, a variety of lemon grown for over 300 years on the terraces of the Amalfi coast. The oranges used for the Lurisia oranges come from the best citrus groves of the peninsula - the juice of the Italian oranges is combined with the extract of the orange of Puglia for the classic version and the extract of the melangolo orange of Puglia for the bitter version, while the Aranciata Rossa contains the juice of the "Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP". Finally, the Lemonade comes from the extracts of the three lemon blooms, the winter Primofiore, the Spring Lemon and the late summer Verdello, grown among the most evocative landscapes in Italy.
Over time, the Lurisia proposal has also been enriched with two exclusive references dedicated to the aperitif, which, also in this case, enhance the natural aromas of our territory: gentian from the Alps and Piedmontese absinthe. Finally, in addition to these products, the Bolle Stille and Santa Barbara mineral water of Lurisia has always been bottled in the historic plant of Roccaforte Mondovì (CN) and comes from the heart of the Alps, in Monte Pigna.
