The plant in Marcianise, in the province of Caserta, certifies the special relationship that exists between Campania and Coca-Cola. Few people know it but it was in Naples that in 1955 the first Fanta Aranciata with orange juice was born, still 100% Italian today. From the Neapolitan city, Fanta set out to conquer the world, becoming in a few years the second most drunk brand in the world, after Coca-Cola.
We have been present in Marcianise since the mid-70s and today the production site is the largest plant in southern Italy capable of developing a production that varies in PET, glass and can formats, the result of over 50 million euros invested in the industrial site in the last 10 years alone.
The Campania factory is also an example of industrial excellence in terms of environmental sustainability: in 2020, a new PET line was inaugurated in the plant, which allows more formats to be produced in less time. The new line has generated savings of more than 11% in electricity and 70% in water compared to the two old lines.
In 2024, the Marcianise factory celebrates its 50th anniversary with an event dedicated to employees and their families, in the presence of important representatives of the local community that has hosted us for half a century. This great milestone represents a starting point for the future of Coca-Cola in Campania, as evidenced by the 21 million euros invested in 2024 in industrial innovations in areas such as modernization and development, health and safety, water and energy efficiency and packaging circularity.
