Responsible water management

Water is at the heart of what we do because it determines the quality and safety of our beverages. We have the utmost respect for water resources, and we use them responsibly in our production processes.

We work to reduce water consumption in relation to the liters of beverages produced, promoting investments in technological innovation and increasingly precise monitoring systems. Furthermore, we treat 100% of the wastewater from our production activities before returning it to the territory.

In 2025, we continued our dialogue with local stakeholders to strengthen the protection of the water basins we draw from. One example is the AFI project in Nogara, developed in collaboration with the Consorzio di Bonifica Veronese (Verona Land Reclamation Consortium), with the aim of promoting water replenishment into the shallow aquifer and contributing to the revitalization of the resurgence system.

Packaging circularity

We believe it is crucial to intervene in packaging to reduce our environmental footprint. In fact, all of our bottles and cans are recyclable and, if disposed of correctly, can become new bottles and new cans.

Our CCH CircularPET plant in Gaglianico—featuring pioneering technologies in Europe and dedicated to processing recycled plastic—fits into this strategy. Born from the conversion of a decommissioned bottling plant, this facility represents the largest sustainability investment in the history of the Coca-Cola HBC Group: over 30 million euros to transform up to 30,000 tonnes of PET per year into new bottles made of 100% recycled PET (excluding cap and label), intended for bottling beverages produced in Italy.

Emissions reduction

As part of the Coca-Cola HBC Group, we are committed to the NetZeroBy40 journey, with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions across our entire value chain by 2040. This commitment involves decarbonizing our direct operations, using renewable energy, implementing more

efficient production solutions, adopting an increasingly circular approach to packaging, and engaging our value chain.

In 2025, we confirmed the ISO 5001:2018 certification for our energy management system at our plants in Nogara, Oricola, Marcianise, and Rionero in Vulture. All production plants, including the Lurisia and Fonti del Vulture water bottling sites, reduced their Energy Usage Ratio (EUR) compared to 2024, contributing to an overall 4% reduction for Coca-Cola HBC Italia.

100% of the electricity purchased directly from the grid for our plants comes from renewable sources certified by Guarantees of Origin (GO), while 68% of the total energy used in 2025 comes from renewable and clean sources. In parallel, we continue to invest in process innovations, more efficient equipment, and corporate electric mobility infrastructure to progressively reduce the impact of our operations.
