The Nogara, Oricola, Marcianise and Rionero plants - namely, all our facilities producing still and carbonated soft drinks - as well as the Fonti del Vulture water bottling plant, have renewed their ISO 50001:2018 certification.

The Oricola and Marcianise plants are also equipped with trigeneration plants, capable of simultaneously producing electricity and both hot and cold thermal energy. Nogara, on the other hand, is equipped with a quadrigeneration plant, which also meets the plant’s food-grade CO₂ requirements for beverage production.

100% of the electricity purchased directly from the grid for our plants comes from renewable sources certified by Guarantees of Origin (GoOs). At the same time, we continue to invest in process innovations, more efficient plants and infrastructure for corporate electric mobility, with the aim of progressively reducing the environmental impact of our operations

We are committed to achieving net-zero emissions across the entire value chain by 2040.

To achieve its goal, Coca-Cola HBC:

• It will continue with the process of decarbonizing its direct operations by switching to 100% renewable electricity and low-carbon energy sources through continuous improvements and innovations
• It will accelerate its journey towards a more circular and low-emission approach by increasing the use of rPET, adopting reusable and packaging-free options, removing plastic in secondary packaging
• It will provide its customers with refrigerators that are more energy-efficient than previous models
• Reduce emissions from agricultural ingredients
• It will implement a program to transition to a low- or zero-carbon vehicle fleet.
• In addition, Coca-Cola HBC will continue to consider CO2 emission reduction targets as one of the main elements in its long-term management incentive plans

A solid track record

Coca-Cola HBC was one of the first companies to commit to achieving the so-called Science Based Targets (SBTs) which also includes this emissions reduction plan. In 2025, Coca-Cola HBC was named the world's most sustainable beverage company by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the ninth time. It is also ranked among the top sustainability performers in ESG benchmarks such as CDP, MSCI ESG and FTSE4Good. The company's new commitment is also supported by the global non-profit coalition "We Mean Business" which, among other things, launched the "Race to Zero" program of which Coca-Cola HBC is a supporter.
