Nogara (VR), 31 August 2020 - After 36 years of intense work and more than 2 billion bottles produced, the glass format production line at the Coca-Cola HBC Italia plant in Nogara stopped this weekend: a new high-speed line will replace it, the installation of which began at the end of July and will be completed in September. The new plant, the result of an investment of over 15 million euros, in addition to further improving the already high sustainability performance of the Verona factory, will allow a 40% increase in production speed as well as greater flexibility in the mix of different formats.

"The arrival of the new high-speed glass line is a great source of pride for us" comments Dario Soriano, Director of the Coca-Cola HBC Italia plant in Nogara "The largest Coca-Cola factory in Europe, thanks to this further investment, becomes even more competitive and efficient: a real all-Veneto flagship".

The Nogara site with its 452 direct employees generates 2,480 jobs on whose income depends, totally or partially, over 5,800 people: data that emerge from a study conducted by SDA Bocconi on the socio-economic impact of  Coca-Cola in Italy in 2019, which also shows that the resources generated by the company in the region amounted to 110.7 million euros.
