Marcianise (CE), October 17, 2019 - Coca-Cola confirms its historic link with Campania according to research conducted by SDA Bocconi School of Management that analyzes and quantifies the economic and employment impact generated by Coca-Cola in 2018 on the region.
The study notes that in 2018 the company distributed resources in Campania for a total of about 32 million euros, divided as follows: 18 million euros to families, 13.8 million euros to businesses and 0.21 million euros to the State. On the employment front, it emerges that there are over 2,100 people who depend partially or totally on the labor income generated by the presence of Coca-Cola in the region.
Also from the point of view of industrial investments, the region is central to Coca-Cola's strategies: the Marcianise plant, the largest Coca-Cola production plant in Southern Italy, in 2019 alone received investments of over 7.5 million euros in technological modernizations, in addition to the 2 million euros intended for the recent installation of the cogeneration plant which has further improved its environmental sustainability performance.
"The Marcianise plant has been a concrete example of Coca-Cola's link with Campania for over 40 years," says Vitaliy Novikov, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC Italia "The evidence that emerged from SDA Bocconi's research underlines its strategic role for the entire industrial sector of the region."
To further celebrate the love story between Coca-Cola and Campania, which began in 1955 with the birth of Fanta Aranciata in Naples, the Caserta factory will produce a limited edition of Coca-Cola Original Taste and Coca-Cola Zero. The iconic 33cl glass bottle will be dressed with 6 subjects of the Neapolitan Smorfia, "L'Italia", "La Risata", "La Festa", "La Musica", "Pulcinella" and "La Tavola Imbandita", revisited by the creativity of the students of the Comics School of Naples, awarded with a scholarship. The limited edition will be available starting from November.
