At Coca-Cola Hellenic, we benefit greatly from the skills, experience and commitment of the diverse people who work with us. We recognize that diversity is essential to being able to best serve our customers, and we are committed to ensuring that no one is treated inappropriately or disrespectfully in our workplace. This is in line with our values that drive us to act with integrity and care for our people.
This policy sets out our approach to inclusion, diversity, combating harassment and preventing discrimination at work.
Inclusion and diversity for the purposes of this policy means the creation of a respectful work environment in which people do not discriminate or are discriminated against in any context on the basis of the following characteristics:
1) Age;
2) disability;
3) gender or gender reassignment;
4) gender or sexual orientation;
5) civil status or civil union;
6) family status including pregnancy, maternity, paternity or other custody status;
7) race including ethnic origin, nationality or colour;
8) religious, political or other beliefs;
9) full-time or part-time status;
10) any other characteristic with respect to which legal protection is provided by local legislation.
Discrimination for these purposes includes that one of the above characteristics is a factor whereby someone is not treated favorably as they would otherwise have been treated, even if that characteristic was not the sole or major factor related to the treatment. Coca-Cola HBC takes a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination.
Harassment includes any disrespectful action or statement related to the above characteristics or any other form of behavior that does not imply treatment with respect and dignity. It includes any verbal or physical conduct intended to threaten, intimidate, or coerce, or verbal provocation that, in the opinion of the employee, impairs his or her ability to perform his or her job. This applies in the workplace, outside the workplace (when dealing with customers, suppliers, or other work-related contacts, and during work-related travel or events, including social events).
This policy prohibits sexual harassment in any form. Sexual harassment is defined as unwanted sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical behavior of a sexual nature when the submission or rejection of such behaviors forms the basis for hiring decisions or when such behaviors have the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment
This policy applies to all persons who work for us (including our employees, contractors, consultants, temporary workers and agency workers) and applies throughout the course of their dealings with us, including when they apply and after their termination. It covers all aspects of your employment relationship with us, including recruitment, compensation and conditions, training, evaluation, promotion, conduct on the job, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination of employment. Politics creates both rights that the people who work for us can enjoy, and the responsibility for those same people to behave in a similar way to ensure that others enjoy the same rights.
We provide assistance to all people who work for us to comply with this policy, including, where appropriate, training, guidance and support from Human Resources.
Incidents of non-compliance with this policy or any other conduct that affects inclusivity and diversity should normally be reported in the first instance to relevant managers. Such incidents can alternatively be reported to the line manager of the reference manager or to a member of Human Resources. We undertake to deal promptly and thoroughly (and with the greatest possible confidentiality and sensitivity) with any such complaint.
We do not tolerate any form of victimization related to any complaint made in good faith. Victimisation includes not only conduct directed against the complainant, but also conduct directed against any other person involved in any related investigation.
We may initiate disciplinary proceedings or other applicable proceedings under our Code of Business Conduct against any person we believe may have violated this policy. Such proceedings may lead to the imposition of appropriate disciplinary sanctions up to and including dismissal.
We reserve the right to review and amend this policy from time to time to ensure that we adequately promote inclusion, diversity and anti-harassment.
