In view of 8 June, World Oceans Day, Coca-Cola, the Carrefour brand and Marevivo, the non-profit environmental association that protects the sea and its resources, have joined forces with the common goal of promoting the correct recycling and second life of beverage packaging (plastic, glass and aluminum).
IN SUPPORT OF MAREVIVO
The Coca-Cola HBC Italia Foundation and Coca-Cola Italia have supported the Marevivo association with a donation of 50,000 euros to support educational activities for children and young people on the theme of recycling and the circular economy with a view to a just ecological transition.
From 30 May to 12 June, in over 100 Carrefour stores located throughout the country, consumers will be made aware through the installation of some communication materials, with the aim of involving them to do their part in the circularity process of the economy and recycle post-consumer products.
For the occasion, a promotion will be active on recycled plastic drinks (rPET) from the Coca-Cola portfolio, aimed at enhancing this packaging material which, if correctly recycled, can be transformed from waste into a resource again.
In addition to this, there is an in-depth section, available on the Carrefour website good practices of the circular economy, to provide some suggestions on how to fight pollution and preserve our environment.
