Milan, 19 October 2022 – Starting from October 2022, almost 1700 employees of Coca-Cola HBC Italia, the main bottler of The Coca-Cola Company brand products on the national territory, will receive a bonus of €800 that can be spent through the corporate welfare platform in a series of services, including the reimbursement of water, electricity and gas bills (as soon as they are confirmed, by the Revenue Agency, the proposals of the Aid Decree Bis). This option is in fact contemplated by the Aiuti-bis decree-law no. 115 of 2022, which provides for the possibility for employers to provide  their employees with targeted economic contributions, aimed at coping with increases in energy bills.

The new bonus, which is intended to be a sign of Coca-Cola HBC Italia's closeness to its people in a particularly difficult period due to the increase in the cost of raw materials and inflation, will therefore strengthen the purchasing power of beneficiaries, who will be able to use it not only for bills, but also for fuel vouchers, reimbursements for school or assistance expenses and for recreational activities. The company has also made available an online welfare desk and a series of training sessions to allow all employees involved to make the best use of the credit received.

"At Coca-Cola HBC Italia we listen to the needs of our employees and consider their well-being a fundamental factor. This €800 welfare bonus is a further, tangible sign of the attention to our people, which adds to the various measures put in place during the most difficult months of the pandemic.  It is also a way to demonstrate the company's recognition for the great commitment of colleagues to ensure the success of our business in this particularly challenging year," said Emiliano Maria Cappuccitti, People & Culture Director Coca-Cola HBC Italia.

"We appreciate the decision of Coca-Cola HBC Italia to give specific and important economic relief to the group's workers at a time when inflation and rising energy costs are eroding wages and decreasing the spending power of families," said Alessandro Anselmi, Angelo Paolella and Michele Tartaglione for the national secretariats of Fai-Cisl, Flai-Cgil and Uila-Uil.  "A result that is the result of union requests and the system of relations built over the years. The next step will be to seek, together, further important answers for the group's employees in the imminent opening of the discussion  for the renewal of the second-level supplementary contract."

This new bonus is part of a broader corporate welfare plan of Coca-Cola HBC Italia which provides for at least 12 days of smart working per month, a Smart Working Etiquette to guide colleagues on the correct management and organization of remote work, a psychological support desk, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), where employees and their families can receive help with personal and work issues and training dedicated to managers to provide them with the skills necessary to monitor and safeguard the psychophysical well-being of the team.
