Nogara, 7 July 2020 – The Verona plant of Nogara (VR) of Coca-Cola HBC Italia will produce the new Fanta Lemonade PGI with No Added Sugar with juice of "Limone di Siracusa IGP", a lemonade with 100% lemon juice controlled by the Consortium for the Protection of the Lemon of Syracuse PGI, thus enhancing an excellence of the Italian citrus supply chain, also continuing the historic link between Fanta and the Bel Paese, where this drink was born in 1955.

The Nogaro production site is confirmed as central to the company's industrial and strategic choices, as also confirmed by the more than 100 million euros invested in recent years in the plant, which generates a total employment impact of over 2,400 jobs in the region.

"We are proud to be able to enhance the raw materials of our country" said Dario Soriano, Director of the Coca-Cola HBC Italia plant in Nogara "A commitment that testifies to the relationship between Coca-Cola and Italy, which began more than 90 years ago and which we hope to be able to continue even in a context put at risk by the impacts that sugar and plastic taxes could have, if confirmed".

The particular attention that Coca-Cola pays to national citrus fruits is reflected in the choice of 100% Italian orange juice, with the annual purchase of over a third of the production of Sicilian oranges and lemons for processing. The citrus juice for the various drinks produced in Italy is purchased from Sicilian suppliers who have been collaborating with Coca-Cola for decades even for products that are distributed outside Italy
