LLOYD'S REGISTER, AN ACCREDITED BODY (CAB) FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE AWS (ALLIANCE FOR WATER STEWARDSHIP) STANDARD, WILL CONDUCT (REMOTELY) THE VERIFICATION OF COMPLIANCE FOR THE COCA-COLA HBC ITALIA PLANTS IN NOGARA, ORICOLA, AND MARCIANISE AND FOR THE FONTI DEL VULTURE PLANT (RIONERO PLANT), FROM 2 NOVEMBER 2021 TO 3 DECEMBER 2021.

The AWS standard aims to involve water-using sites in understanding and addressing the water challenges of the catchment area, and the related risks and opportunities of the site in the field of water resource management. The AWS standard calls for addressing these challenges in a way that progressively steers sites toward best practices in terms of the following five outcomes:

  • Better water governance
  • Sustainable water balance
  • Good water quality
  • Health status of important water-related areas
  • Access to water and sanitation (WASH)* for all

* The World Health Organization (WHO) has integrated WASH into the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6).
