Our commitment to creating value in the areas in which we operate translates into a positive economic and employment impact and in the promotion of social and cultural initiatives, also sponsored by Fondazione Coca‑Cola HBC Italia, established in 2005 from the desire to create and promote social projects through activities that produce positive effects on local communities and areas.
For over ten years the company has been a partner of Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus. In 2018 it renewed its commitment to support the logistics system that manages the recovery, packaging and distribution of surplus food products. In continuity with the previous period, Coca‑Cola HBC has continued the program #YouthEmpowered, to support young people between 16 and 30 years in the knowledge of their skills and in the acquisition of professional skills to facilitate their entry into the world of work. In 2018 the program saw the integration with the partnership with Junior Achievement Italy reaching more than 18,000 young people
The value of inclusion
Coca‑Cola attended for the first time in 2018 at the Milano Pride parade on June 30th with more than 100 employees, their families, friends and relatives. For the occasion Coca‑Cola launched a can dedicated to love in limited edition "Love", which reflects the company's constant commitment to the enhancement of diversity and inclusion, involving over 1,300 volunteers.
In 2018 Coca‑Cola supported Special Olympics Italia, the largest sports organization active in the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sport, involving over 1,300 employees in voluntary activities. In 2018 the commitment to supporting the social activities promoted and carried out by the G. Maddaloni Social Sports Centre of Scampia (NA) managed by the Star Judo Club association was renewed.
