Our approach to sustainability
Our commitment to sustainability is meant to ensure the success and continuity of our enterprise over time, with the continued reduction of our environmental footprint and a concrete contribution to the quality of life in the communities in which we operate. This is why, in light of the increasing number of challenges concerning sustainability, we have decided to launch a number of priority activities for the business and its stakeholders.
Since 2004, we have published an annual Sustainability Report, a tool that presents our policies and accounts for what we have achieved in various areas of commitment.
Coca‑Cola HBC Italia has chosen to adopt, in continuity with the previous year, the "Global Reporting Initiative Sustainability Reporting Standards" (2016), hereinafter "GRI Standards", and the "Food Processing Sector Disclosures" (2014) both published by GRI - Global Reporting Initiative according to the "in accordance - Core". For the drafting of this Sustainability Report, Coca‑Cola HBC Italia has involved the company's organizational structure, through contributions from the various areas and functions. Data were collected with the support of special cards and interviews directed to the function's contacts, in accordance with the approach required by the GRI Standards, and subsequently verified with an internal control process.
In order to produce the 2018 Sustainability Report, Coca‑Cola HBC Italia has renewed its activity of listening to its internal and external interlocutors, also in order to update its materiality matrix.
Stakeholders’ mapping and listening was carried out according to the indications of the International Standard "AA1000 - Stakeholder Engagement Standard (AA1000SES) 2015". Coca‑Cola HBC Italia has chosen to voluntarily submit the Sustainability Report to external assurance, which has assessed the level of compliance with the GRI Standards as "in accordance - core".
Initiatives for stakeholders mapping and involvement
Stakeholders are the individuals on whom the activities of our company have an impact, and who in turn have an impact on the company. The criterion that guides our activities in terms of social responsibility is the continuous attention to stakeholders and their involvement.
This dialogue takes place through meetings, research and analysis involving employees, customers, suppliers, non-profit organizations and all stakeholders in general.
