Pane Quotidiano (Daily Bread) is a non-profit organisation founded in Milan in 1898 to feed the poor - initially with the traditional Milanese bread, the michetta. The association not only distributes bread, but also other foodstuffs - like milk, yogurt, pasta, chocolate, fruit, vegetables and cookies - to any person in need.

Pane Quotidiano

Every day at the historical headquarters in Milan, in Viale Toscana 28, and in the new premises in Viale Monza 335, 2,500 to 3,000 people in need (including elderly and unemployed people, and immigrants), come to collect what Pane Quotidiano offers.

As well as this concrete help, the association recognises each person's individuality and freedom, irrespective of their religious beliefs.
