Coca Cola HBC Italia is the biggest producer and distributor of The Coca Cola Company brand products in Italy. The company has more than 2,000 employees, 23 production lines and plants in Nogara (VR), Oricola (AQ) and Marcianise (CE). Since 2006, when, together with The Coca Cola Company, we entered the mineral water market by acquiring Fonti del Vulture in Basilicata, we have also operated a plant in Rionero in Vulture (PZ).
Since 2004 at Coca‑Cola HBC Italia we have published our annual Sustainability Report, where we account for what we have achieved in various areas of commitment: community, marketplace, environment and workplace.
According to the findings of research carried out in 2015 by SDA Bocconi School of Management, we are an engine of both direct and indirect employment, and of wealth: our activities create an added value, with a relevant economic impact for the Country, as our 157,000 customers refresh approximately 60 million potential consumers.
Together with Autogrill we support Banco Alimentare in its commitment against food waste. Till the end of November 2016, part of the revenues gained from the sales of the " Perfect Menu" in more than 400 Acafé snack bars has been donated to Banco Alimentare. This money have been employed by Banco Alimentare to collect and distribute 150,000 kg of food, the equivalent of 300,000 meals*, to the families in need in Italy.
In Coca‑Cola HBC Italia the Management Trainee Programme is a long-term investment meant to strengthen our company's talent pool for the future. We have been recruiting and developing graduates for many years through independent international initiatives, as well as tailor-made programmes.
We decided that the best way to describe the 40 years of activities of the Coca‑Cola HBC Italia plant of Nogara (VR) was to tell the stories of the people who daily work there.
In 2015 our plant in Nogara celebrated 40 years of activities: in 1975, with the first production of cans in Italy, the story of the Venetian production plant begins, which has become over the years an industrial center of excellence and the largest Coca‑Cola plant in Europe.
To celebrate 40 years of activity of our plant in Nogara we have established the Guinness World Record for the largest human bottle in the world, made of employees and their families and friends!
With UCI Cinemas from December 17 2015 to January 6 2015 we launched "On all tracks ... for one goal", an initiative to support Special Olympics Italia to promote sport among people with intellectual disabilities. Part of the revenues of the sales of the "Menu Maxi Double" and the "Big Menu", in all the 46 Italian cinema of the UCI circuit, has contributed to organizational expenses of the National Winter and Summer Games of 2016, an important event for the athletes, their family members, volunteers and the public, carried out between January and June 2016
From November 30 2015 to January 10 2016, for the third year in a row we decided to involve Autogrill in our consolidated partnership with the Italian Red Cross for the "Perfect Menu - Christmas Edition" initiative. Through this collaboration it has been possible to raise funds for the promotion of sport among children of families in need, by donating the revenues of the sale of the " Perfect Menu" and the "Super Menu" , respectively, in more than 400 Acafé and bar snacks in the country and in 50 of Spizzico of the Travel&City channel (cities, shopping malls, stations and airports).
During summer 2015 we celebrated the seventh consecutive year of partnership with Giffoni Experience by inaugurating the event with the "Coca‑Cola Day": a day dedicated to the most popular beverage in the world, which ended with a flash mob involving more than 3,000 young jurors , engaged in a fun group music choreography. The company has also enriched the festival program with Coca‑Cola Sports Village, a village entirely dedicated to sport, in the Hollywood Park Cittadella del Cinema.
